Salute, the Vienna-based artist originally hailing from Manchester, UK, unveils his inaugural single for 2024, titled 'system,' coming out under the esteemed Ninja Tune label. This musical endeavor pays homage to the pulsating beats and euphoria of the UK's club culture, skillfully crafted by salute, featuring the dynamic vocals of Empress Of.
This release marks salute's return to the spotlight, providing a sneak peek into the extensive body of work he is set to unveil this year. In "system," he draws inspiration from vintage French records, culminating in a track that magnificently showcases his sonic exploration. Speaking about the collaboration, salute expresses, "I think 'system' best describes where my head is at in terms of the sound I'm trying to get across. I've been obsessively re-diving into old French records, and they've had a massive influence on how I produce my music – this one was particularly fun to make. (...) I've harbored a desire to collaborate with Empress Of for several years, and I'm thrilled that we could finally bring it to fruition. 'system' is the outcome of collaborative synergy, enriched by invaluable contributions from Karma Kid, Andy Smith, and Baz Kaye (Bondax). Together, we seamlessly interwove elements to create a beautiful musical composition."
Following up on salute's well-received 2023 EP, 'Shield,' and the success of previous singles like 'Joy' and 'Therapy,' "system" is another amazing addition to his discography. Listen to it now:
